Stockdale Center
Monmouth College

Metzger Johnson was the architect. Few changes had been made to the food service facilities in Stockdale Student Center since the 1970’s. In an effort to eliminate all but one of the cafeteria lines, multiple restaurant style “theme” serving stations were incorporated in the new design. This concept provides students with more choices and allows food preparation just prior to serving.

This project also included renovation of the lower level “Scotland Yard”, which provides several fast food style stations for use of student “flex dollars”. A cash convenience store was also constructed to provide an on-campus outlet for convenience type items.

Minor changes to the kitchen were made, including a new walk-in cooler/freezer, relocation of the dishwasher and installation of moving tray stacking system to streamline the dishwashing operation.
